Elegance In Bathroom Design.
Yours never looked that good. The floor sags. The paint is drab. The lights seems to flutter any time someone enters. It doesn’t matter whether you’re doing it for yourself or to sell, it’s time for an update.
You know what you want, right?
Until you start checking prices.
Then reality hits and you realize how much you’re going to spend to bring your bathroom up to current standards.

It’s okay.
There’s help. There are ways to get what you want and still save money.

Have a plan
Everything goes better with a plan. You need a plan that will work when something goes wrong. Whether it’s plumbing or electrical, missed deadlines or damaged material, you will have hiccups. With a plan, you will focus on what’s important and not get bogged down with things that can wait.

Plumbing
Though you may be tempted to move the tub or toilet, leaving it in the original location will save you significant cost overruns from not having to move the piping in the first place, especially when you’re working with close quarters in an older home.

Don't make it tile
Stone or porcelain is expensive. Whether it’s your backsplash, floor, or shower walls, you have other alternatives that can look as beautiful and won’t hurt your bank account. Try reclaimed wood panels, or beadboard on your walls, vinyl for your flooring, and tub-surrounds for your shower. Keep an eye out for material that you life so you don’t miss an opportunity.

Let there be light
A drab room always looks better in the light. Putting in bright lights will make your bathroom feel more upscale and you can always upgrade the lighting later when you have the wiring in place. Pot-lights are a great way to offer more light without having to spend a lot for the looks.

Focus on the finishing touches
Whether it’s the paint, trim around the door, or a frame on your mirror, adding a few finishing touches will elevate the quality of your bathroom. Trim is often inexpensive and paint can cover with one coat.
Your family spends a lot of time in your bathroom. You want a room that’s welcoming and elegant. It doesn’t however have to cost as much as the ones you’ve been looking at online.
